OFFICER DOWN: BORDER PATROL AGENT DAVID CHRISTOPHER MALAND

CORRECTED DAVID CHRISTOPHER MALAND Border Patrol Agent Chris Maland was shot and killed during a traffic stop on Interstate 91near Newport, Vermont, near the Canadian Border at 3:15 p.m. One suspect was shot and killed, and the second suspect was injured. He is in federal custody. Agent Maland was a United States Air Force veteran anwhoerved with the United States Department of Homeland Security -—stoms and Border Protection -—ited States Border Patrol for over nine years. Williams Scores 17 to Help Rowan Edge New Jersey City, 74-70, in Men's Basketball

GLASSBORO, NJ - Brycen Williams scored 17 points to help Rowan edge New Jersey City, 74-70, in an NJAC men's basketball matchup this afternoon. The Profs improve to 10-8 and 7-4 in the conference. Williams made four three-pointers in the contest and finished the game hitting 5-of-10 from the field. Khalif Meares scored 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting and Dan Mason and Taz Cantey each contributed 10 points to the win. With 2:09 remaining, Rowan increased its lead to 68-63 on a dunk by Ife Okebiorun. Victoria L. Ryan, 70, of Cherry Hill

On January 23, at the age of 70. Of Cherry Hill. (nee Rapchick) Loving mother of Leslie Quaid (Jesse), Patricia Ryan and Richard Ryan, Jr. (Kristin). Cherished Nana of Reese and Rhett. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Velma Rapchick. Also survived by her sister, JoAnn Reifsnyder (Mark), many loving nieces and nephews as well as her beloved dog, Penny. Vicki was a graduate of Paul VI High School class of 1972. She previously worked in real estate and as a pre-school teacher at The Beechwood School in Haddonfield, NJ. Vicki enjoyed taking trips to the Jersey shore, gardening, swimming and sunbathing, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. DEP PRESENTS THREE PROJECTS FOR LIBERTY STATE PARK AT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM OPEN HOUSE AHEAD OF GROUNDBREAKING (25/P05) TRENTON – Continuing years of public engagement, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today hosted its fifth open house to advance the Liberty State Park Revitalization Program. Certified Gardeners to Celebrate National Seed Swap Day

January 25, the Camden County Certified Gardeners celebrated National Seed Swap Day at the county’s Sustainability Building. During the event, attendees brought seeds to exchange with fellow gardeners to try new plant varieties, save money and connect with other gardening enthusiasts. “This is a wonderful way to expand your garden and get to know the other gardeners in your community,” said Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the Office of Sustainability. The Camden County All-County Modern Band will held its inaugural showcase January 25, uniting talented high school musicians from across Camden County in a collaborative ensemble dedicated to performing popular music with hands-on instruction from Camden County College faculty, and music industry professionals. Drawing inspiration from professional modern bands, this group blends vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass, horns, and strings to create dynamic, genre-spanning performances.
