ILA and USMX Unions Reach Tenative Six-Year Master Contract

NORTH BERGEN/LYNDHURST, NJ (January 10, 2025) – The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) have reached a tentative agreement on all items for a new six-year Master Contract. The two sides agreed to continue to operate under the current contract until the union can meet with its full Wage Scale Committee and schedule a ratification vote, and USMX members can ratify the terms of the final contract. “We are pleased to announce that ILA and USMX have reached a tentative agreement on a new six-year ILA-USMX Master Contract, subject to ratification, thus averting any work stoppage on January 15, 2025,” the two sides said in a joint statement. “This agreement protects current ILA jobs and establishes a framework for implementing technologies that will create more jobs while modernizing East and Gulf coasts ports – making them safer and more efficient and creating the capacity they need... Hackensack University Medical Center Launches Educational Website

Members of the Department of Urology at Hackensack University Medical Center have launched the Kidney Cancer Resource Center, an online educational tool for people diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer. The website provides information to help them better understand the disease and make treatment decisions based on the findings of the latest research. The Kidney Cancer Resource Center is funded by a grant from Pfizer Inc. to support approaches designed to improve patient outcomes. Philadelphia Eagles Dominate Secondary Ticket Market for Wild Card Weekend

(PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 9, 2024) -- Ticket demand for the Philadelphia Eagles game this Sunday is dominating the secondary market for the NFL's Wild Card Weekend. Victory Live, a ticketing technology company that tracks secondary market sales, reports that the average sold ticket price (ATP) for the Eagles game against the Green Bay Packers is $423, a 76% increase compared to the rest of the Wild Card Round. The Eagles' ATP is 58% higher than their last Wild Card home game in January 2020 when they faced the Seattle Seahawks, and tickets were selling at an average of $268. Accused Allegedly Shoots Victim’s Vehicle During Road-Rage Incident Mansfield Township, Burlington County (Dec. 12, 2024)-The New Jersey State Police have charged Brandon Rudd, 34, of South Mills, N.C., with attempted murder and weapons offenses for allegedly shooting at a person in a vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mansfield Township, Burlington County. On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at approximately 11:59 p.m., troopers from Troop “D” Moorestown Station responded to a report of a shooting incident on the New Jersey Turnpike south, milepost 48.3.
