These mysterious flyovers, which began on November 18, 2024, have raised significant apprehension among residents and state officials alike. In his correspondence, Governor Murphy urged President Biden to allocate more resources to investigate these troubling sightings thoroughly, emphasizing the need for clarity and safety in the skies above the state.
National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby spoke Thursday at the White House press briefing about the mysterious drones spotted over New Jersey recently. He said the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are investigating the. He also said, "Many of the reported sightings are manned aircraft being operated lawfully."
