AUSTIN, TX – Rowan’s Johnny Troiano (Hazlet, NJ/Saint John Vianney) has been named to the 2024 Academic All-America® Men’s Soccer First Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Troiano becomes the 38th student-athlete in Rowan athletics history to earn the prestigious honor and the third from the men’s soccer program.
He joins Chad Yates (2023 Second Team) and Ryan Gordon (2012 Second Team) as the Rowan men’s soccer players to earn the distinction.
The honor caps off a stellar season for Troiano in which he was also named to the All-America Third Team, marking Rowan’s first selection since 2017. The junior led the NJAC in scoring with a career-best 16 goals and seven assists for 38 points, with five multiple-goal games and three game-winning goals.
A Law & Justice major, Troiano was named the 2024 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, while earning All-Region IV First Team honors for the second consecutive season. He was named to the All-NJAC First Team for the second time and was chosen to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, which was the first step in receiving Academic All-America honors.
Troiano is one of 34 student-athletes to be recognized on the Academic All-America® Division III Team, with the First Team having an average 3.92 GPA.
