Gloucester Township Police Assists The New Jersey State Police On State Highway Route 42

Gloucester Township PoliceOn 12/24/2024, at approximately 1:00 PM, the New Jersey State Police received a call from a passing motorist that a male jumped off of a highway overpass, into the Big Timber Creek below.
 
Troopers from the New Jersey State Police began to gather information and search the area by mile marker 12, on State Highway Route 42, over the creek and near Lower Landing Road. Additional resources from Gloucester Township Police, Glendora Fire Department, Chews Landing Fire Department, Blenheim Fire Department, Bellmawr Fire Department, Gloucester City Fire Department, New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and New Jersey State Police Canine Unit expanded the search, but did not find any evidence of a subject in distress or jumping into the water.
