52 recruits to graduate Camden County College Police Academy
Thursday, December 12, 2024
Today at 2 p.m., 52 new recruits will be graduating from the 89th Basic Police Recruit Class of the Camden County College Police Academy. Of the 52 recruits, 12 will be joining the Camden County Police Department. In a special keynote address, all recruits will hear from Patrick Gurcsik, chief of Washington Township Police Department.
“These recruits have just completed rigorous training and are set to begin their careers in law enforcement,” Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “I am incredibly proud of each and every one of these remarkable individuals and expect great things from them in the future.”
Among the traditions that will be observed during the formal ceremony is the badge-pinning many of the recruits will experience as they are “pinned” into their new profession by a family member who either is serving as or has retired from service as a law enforcement official.
