Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is excited to announce the 4th Annual Shop with a Cop event, taking place on Friday, December 13th, from 9 AM to 4 PM at Walmart South Philadelphia on Columbus Blvd. The press conference will begin promptly at 9 AM. This year, we are proud to provide 500 deserving children with a memorable day of shopping and holiday festivities, making this the largest Shop with a Cop event in the Delaware Valley.

Thanks to the generosity of our financial sponsors, including Walmart, The Philadelphia Police Foundation, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation, FOP Lodge 5, Liberty Coca-Cola, Philadelphia Second Alarmers, and the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union, this event will bring joy to countless families in our community. We also express our gratitude for the in-kind donations from McDonald’s, Dunkin’, Mercy Truck, No Phly Zone, and the FOP Lodge 5 Auxiliary, which will enhance the children's experiences.

It is important to note that officers from various districts have already identified all the children participating in this event. This is not an open-invitation event, as we aim to support those in our community who are in greatest need.

The Philadelphia Police Commissioner, along with other department leadership, will be present to engage with the community and share in the spirit of giving. Each child will receive a $150 gift card, a Happy Meal, and the opportunity to take home a winter coat, sweaters, scarves, hats, and school supplies.

In addition to shopping, the event will feature an outside winter wonderland filled with exciting activities for kids, including a Philadelphia Union soccer net, a moon bounce, face painting, and more.

We encourage our media partners to live-stream the event and welcome any news stations that wish to send reporters or camera crews to help capture the joy and excitement of this day.

Join us in making this holiday season special for our community’s children. Together, we can create lasting memories and foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the families we serve.
