U.S. Coast Guard District Eleven SAN DIEGO — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Sea Otter (WPB 87362) interdicted 37 migrants from a 33-foot vessel, approximately seven nautical miles off Point Loma, Saturday. While on patrol, crewmembers aboard the Sea Otter spotted a vessel operating without navigation lights. The Sea Otter’s boarding team, along with members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection boarded the vessel and discovered the 37 migrants aboard. Of the 37 migrants taken into custody, 30 were determined to be of Mexican nationality, two were identified as Salvadoran nationality, three of Guatemalan nationality, one of Colombian nationality, and one U.S. citizen, who was reported to be the operator of the vessel. Main Street southbound traffic will be diverted onto Mill Road to eastbound Mullica Hill Road. Westbound Mullica Hill Road traffic will be diverted onto the bypass and/or Clems Run. Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 37-year-old man has been charged with killing his cellmate inside the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly. Rondale Holloman, of Burlington Township, was charged with Murder (First Degree) in connection with the death of Kenneth Bulle, 74, of Mount Holly. The case will now be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment. The investigation began in the early morning hours of November 14 after corrections officers became aware that Holloman had attacked Bulle, who was pronounced dead inside the facility. Holloman has been in the jail since September after being charged with Aggravated Assault (Second Degree). Bulle was charged last month with Attempted Murder (First Degree) and weapons offenses. Under the terms of an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, Henry Papaleo entered guilty pleas yesterday to two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child Less than 13 Years of Age (Second Degree) in exchange for a 17-year term in state prison. The Hon. Aimee R. Belgard, J.S.C., scheduled sentencing for April 4, 2025, in Superior Court in Mount Holly. The vote to approve the budget came after a drivers group called on Gov. Phil Murphy to veto it. “Last year the governor temporarily vetoed your 3 percent toll hike and this year he will be under even more pressure to do so in response to the findings from this election (and) the importance of not being tone deaf to the economic concerns of the middle class,“ Steve Carrellas of the National Motorists Association said. ”Don’t be surprised if gubernatorial candidates of both parties make this a campaign issue next year.”

Sutherland and the New Jersey State Police announced today the arrest of Hakeem Denby, 34, a resident of Vineland, in connection with the murder of Daquann Smith. TRENTON — The Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability today identified the decedent and the officer involved in a fatal shooting that occurred on November 3, 2024 in the Westmont section of Haddon Township, Camden County, New Jersey. The civilian who died during the encounter has been identified as Keith Edelin, 46, of Pennsauken, New Jersey. According to the preliminary investigation, on November 3, at approximately 1:07 a.m., members of the Haddon Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding an attempted burglary in progress at an apartment complex on West Crystal Lake Avenue in Westmont.
