Murder Suspect Sherwayne Garrison Confesses to SEPTA Police

Sherwayne GarrisonPHILADELPHIA,PA (November 26, 2024)--On Friday, November 22nd, at approximately 3:08 PM, officers from the 15th District responded to a report of a person with a gun at the intersection of 5100 Frankford Avenue and Pratt Street. Upon arrival, 15th District and SEPTA officers located the victim, Moneer Farhat, who had been shot in the head, inside a crashed vehicle. Farhat was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
 
Sherwayne Garrison approached SEPTA Police at the scene and identified himself as the shooter. The Shooting Investigation Group processed the scene, and at 6:12 PM, the victim was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.
 
Following an investigation, 39-year-old Sherwayne Garrison, of the 1500 block of Dyre Street, was arrested and charged with murder and related offenses.
