Military members to be honored at Veterans Day appreciation breakfast
Monday, November 11, 2024
In honor of Veterans Day, the Board of Commissioners and the Camden County Veterans Advisory Committee will hold the Padre Peter Molnar Appreciation Breakfast today at 9 a.m. at the Collingswood Ballroom.
The event will include a roll call of military services and a medal ceremony, where 10 Camden County veterans will be honored.
“These individuals have displayed incredible bravery and patriotism,” said Commissioner Melinda Kane, who serves as the liaison to the Office of Veterans Affairs. “While we honor and support our veterans every day of the year, Veterans Day is a time where we can gather to show our appreciation to those who chose to put their country before themselves.”
The breakfast is in honor of Padre Peter Molnar, who was an Army Chaplain in Vietnam and served in Reserve and National Guard units for 32 years. Molnar was a mental health administrator for Camden County for 17 years and worked as an assistant hospital administrator and social worker for the Veterans Affairs Office. During his years of service in Camden County he was deeply involved with a number of Veteran Service Organizations including the American Legions and Jewish War Veterans.
