Man Sentenced to 27 Years for the Sexual Assaults of Two Juveniles

Agency-160-main-image-b9IV3w04c3Bxn3Kb (1)Camden, N.J. – A Pennsauken man was sentenced on Thursday to 27 years in New Jersey State Prison for the sexual assaults of two juvenile victims, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Philip Olivo.

On June 14, 2024, a jury convicted Henry Parker, 72, of two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, five counts of second-degree Sexual Assault, four counts of  second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, five counts of third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, and one count of Engaging or Soliciting Prostitution of a Minor. 

On November 7, 2024, the court sentenced Parker to an aggregate sentence of 27 years in New Jersey State Prison. This sentence includes 24 years subject to the No Early Release Act (NERA). The defendant was sentenced to consecutive prison sentences on four counts as follows: 6 years in prison subject to NERA for second-degree Sexual Assault; 12 years in prison subject to NERA for first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; 6 years in prison subject to NERA for second-degree Sexual Assault; and 3 years in prison for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact. The defendant was sentenced to concurrent  sentences for the remaining thirteen counts.

The victims testified at trial that the sexual assaults were ongoing and occurred at the defendant’s home in Pennsauken, New Jersey, from October 2009 until they reported Parker’s crimes to police in January 2018. The State was represented at trial by Assistant Prosecutor Anna Trenga and Assistant Prosecutor Jordan McArdle of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

The case was investigated by Detective Lateasha Jones, Detective Kate Scully, and Detective Gilberto Alicea of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. Victim Advocate Kelly Darata of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office advocated for the victims.
