LTPD to unveil new HERO Campaign Vehicle at the start of Veterans Day Parade

Lower Township, NJ – Police Chief Kevin Lewis is proud to announce the unveiling of Lower Township Police Department’s new police vehicle dedicated to the John R. Elliot HERO Campaign. Chief Lewis stated, “We're proud to be part of such an important campaign that encourages sober driving, designated drivers, and alternate safe transportation options."
In an effort to promote the HERO Campaign sober and designated driver program, Lower Township Police with the sponsorship of the New Jersey Highway Traffic Safety Association (NJHTSA), the DUI enforcement vehicle was outfitted with trademark logos and Lower Township Police emblems. The campaign’s signature message is, “Be a HERO. Be a designated Driver.”
Chief Lewis chose the unveiling of the new HERO Campaign Patrol Vehicle to coincide with this year’s Lower Township Veterans Day Parade, which will take place on November 9, 2024 on Bayshore Road in Villas, NJ, between Fulling Mill and Village Roads, starting at 11:00 a.m. The new HERO campaign car will be unveiled at approximately 10:45 hours in front of the Villas Fire Hall, 1647 Bayshore Road, located at the start of the parade.
