Dorothy MacLennan , of Gloucester Hts., 91

It is with great sadness that we convey her passing on November 3, 2024, at the age of 91. Dorothy was the daughter and the “baby of the family” of the late Frank and Anna Pryzwara. Beloved wife of the late Screenshot 2024-11-07 at 20.40.45John H. MacLennan, Sr. and the late George A. Jacob. Loving and devoted mother of George J. Jacob and Kathryn of Stone Harbor, NJ and the late Joseph Jacob, Devoted stepmother of the late John H. MacLennan, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Atlanta, GA, and Jane R. Schwartz and her husband Michael of Fenwick Island, DE. She will forever be the loving grandmother of George A. Jacob II (her caretaker) of Gloucester Heights, NJ, Anna Weaver (Frank) of Horsham, PA, Kari MacLennan Gorski (David) of Chula Vista, CA, Jaclyn Rash (John) of Rising Sun, MD and Rachel Code (Douglas) of Kalamazoo, MI. Dorothy is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; Shawn Weaver, Lillian and Hunter Gorski, Brody and Carlee Rash and Adrian Code. She will forever love and cherish all of her nieces, nephews and their families along with many friends and without question, before all else, God.

Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings, Adolph (Cecelia) Pryzwara, Jessie (Al) Grynkiewicz, Edward (AnnaRose) Pryzwara, Joseph (Patricia) Pryzwara and Lillian (Emilio John) Villanova, who was also her best friend.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Gloucester Heights and a 1951 graduate of Gloucester High School. She was a member of the Reunion and Sunshine Committee for the class. She was also a parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Gloucester City, NJ.

For 38 years, she worked for RCA in Camden and Cherry Hill, NJ as a Senior Accountant. After Retiring from RCA, she worked part-time at Macy’s in Cherry Hill, NJ. Dorothy loved gardening, spending time with her family and summers at the shore with her son and family. She will be dearly missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday morning, Nov. 13th from 9:30 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
