Winterfest Ice Skating returns to Cooper River

(Cherry Hill, NJ) – It is that time of the year again, as the temperatures drop, and the holidays get into full swing the county Parks Department is preparing for another winter wonderland at Cooper River Park. For our 11th year, the Board of Commissioners is excited to announce the opening of the WinterFest Ice Skating Rink for the 2024-2025 season. WinterFest officially opens on Friday, Nov. 29, and will be open Thursday through Sunday until Feb. 23, 2025. “This attraction always allows our residents to participate in active outdoor recreation at one of the state’s most iconic and celebrated parks, Cooper River Park,” said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department. “It is our hope that the Camden County community can enjoy ice skating and have some fun with their friends and loved ones. Gloucester City Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assaulting Two Minors

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 58-year-old Gloucester City man has pled guilty to sexually assaulting two minors four years ago. Under the terms of an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, Henry Papaleo entered guilty pleas yesterday to two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child Less than 13 Years of Age (Second Degree) in exchange for a 17-year term in state prison. The Hon. Aimee R. Belgard, J.S.C., scheduled sentencing for April 4, 2025, in Superior Court in Mount Holly. The investigation began last year after the victims informed their parents of the assaults. In an effort to protect the identities of the victims, further details about the assaults are being withheld, as is information regarding the circumstances of Papaleo’s access to the children.
