Police Officer Enrique Martinez was shot and killed while making a traffic stop at the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue at 8:00 p.m. When Officer Martinez and another officer approached the stopped vehicle, they were met with rapid gunfire by an occupant in the vehicle. In the 39th District, November 5, a shooting occurred on the highway at 3500 N 15th St at 11:16 AM. A 32-year-old male was shot twice in the right shoulder, once in the back, and once in the buttocks. He was transported by police to Temple Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition.
