Gloucester Township Police Respond to a Head-On Collision with Injuries

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at approximately 12:03 PM, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles on College Drive at the intersection of Cherrywood Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two vehicles in the roadway, both with significant damage, and two injured occupants. Initial investigation revealed that a vehicle in the northbound lane crossed the double yellow line into the southbound lane of travel that caused the collision. Both vehicles suffered disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
Inspira Basic Life Support and Jefferson Health Basic Life Support provided medical assistance at the scene. Both occupants were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. College Drive was temporarily closed southbound between Blackwood Clementon Road and Erial Road for approximately two hours to allow for the crash investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT). At this time, no criminal charges have been filed. The identities of the individuals involved are being withheld pending further investigation and notification of family members.
