Ed Durr: "I DONT NEED THE ESTABLISHMENT"

LOGAN TWP – Former state Senator and gubernatorial candidate Ed “The Trucker” Durr took issue with a news article published recently that argues why one of his likely opponents in the 2025 gubernatorial primary can win. 6a00d8341bf7d953ef022ad3b591c7200b-200pi

Speaking of the article Ed “The Trucker” Durr said, “That’s it! That’s why he can win. Jon Bramnick is 25 and 0 in his last 25 elections. Steve Sweeney won a Freeholder race in 1997 and never lost until I beat him in 2021.

“That’s what happens with these establishment-type candidates, they get cocky then lose. Making statements like, ‘I’m 25 and 0,’ puts Mr. Bramnick on track to do the same.”

“I don’t need the establishment.” Durr continued, “The establishment didn’t want me in the first place. They offered no help in 2021 and I won. I counted on the establishment for help in 2023 and I lost. It won’t happen again!”

“I’ve learned the people want something different.” Durr added, “The people want a candidate not beholden to the establishment, they want a candidate who isn’t going to be told what to do by a political establishment. They want a candidate who understands children belong to families, not the government, a candidate who understands New Jersey has an affordability crisis and a candidate not afraid to shake things up to fix what is broken.”

“While Mr. Bramnick relies on the political establishment in an attempt to keep his undefeated record, I’ll continue to go directly to the people and work hard to slay another couple of giants to become our next governor,” Durr said.
