Driver Charged for Hit-And-Run Crash in Camden

Camden, N.J.- The driver in a hit-and-run crash in Camden on Wednesday has been identified and charged, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
Ajee Williams, 30, of Camden, has been charged with first-degree Murder. Williams turned herself in to authorities on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Camden County Police Department.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at approximately 3:21 p.m., Camden County Police officers were dispatched to 7th Street and Tulip Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 4:06 p.m. The victim was identified as Carla Mahan, 41, of Camden.
