OAKS, PA – The election season is certain to leave the public wanting to relax and enjoy man’s and woman’s best friend – Nearly 2,000 canines are guaranteed to bring smiles to visitors of the Kennel Club of Philadelphia’s National Dog Show, happening live Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, Pennsylvania, prior to its annual broadcast on NBC Thanksgiving Day from 12-2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for ages 3-11, with three-and-under admitted free plus free parking in the expansive Expo Center lots. The only “benched” show in America promises to get families up close to 180-plus breeds, including the American Kennel Club newly-authorized breed, the Lancashire Heeler, a herding dog with the unusual attribute of being able to smile. Arguably the most entertaining aspect of the attraction is the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team, with agility demonstrations through the day both Saturday and Sunday. The Therapy Dog Ambassador Meet & Greet Zone provides the opportunity for visitors to get kisses from certified canines who regularly visit schools, hospitals and healthcare facilities and can lend comfort to those still anxiety-ridden following the November elections.
