Betty Bryson, 89, of Gloucester City

Surrounded by and in the loving care of her family, Betty Bryson (nee Naumann) passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, at the age of 89. She was the loving and devoted wife of 36 years to the late Francis X. Bryson. Betty was a cherished mother to Ann E. Bryson, Kathleen M. Ward, Jeanne M. Rofrano (Michael), Barbara J. Persing (Paul), Michael F. Bryson (Kim), and Mary T. Hoover (Eric). She was also a beloved grandmother to Katie Mae (Ward) Dierker (Daniel), Jaclyn (Ward) DeRisi (David), Matthew Rofrano (Dani), Ariel (Rofrano) Brigandi (Eric), Zachary Rofrano, Jason Boyce (Ciara), Ian Bryson, Cole Bryson, Evan Bryson (Giselle Hernandez), Kelly Bryson, Kyle Persing (Jessie Nailon), Quinn Persing, Olivia Hoover-Mahoney (Ian), and Chloe Hoover (Timothy Linville). Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren Beau DeRisi, Grace DeRisi, Francesca Rofrano, Joseph Rofrano, Remi Lou Rofrano, Arrow Boyce, Gray Boyce, Lilith Linville, Lincoln Linville, and Baby Brigandi on the way.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, where she attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1952. She served as the city administrator for Gloucester City for many years. Betty was a lifelong seamstress and quilter, actively participating in numerous sewing clubs and guilds. She was a wonderful teacher who shared her love of sewing with anyone eager to learn, especially her family. Her beautiful work and the memories they carry will be cherished forever.
At Betty’s request, her funeral services and interment will be private at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
