Officials have reported that a civilian witnessed the individual who carried out the shooting targeting President Trump. The civilian captured a photograph of the perpetrator and their vehicle as they departed from the location and promptly notified law enforcement. Subsequently, the suspect was apprehended in a neighboring county, in close proximity to the Trump Golf Club.

The above photo was released at a law enforcement press conference held after the shooter was captured. It shows the shooter's weapon and two backpacks, one of which held a GoPro camera. 

THE DAILY MAIL has reported that former President Donald Trump was swiftly moved to safety after multiple shots were fired nearby while he was playing golf at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. The Secret Service reportedly opened fire on the suspected gunman who began shooting outside Trump International Golf Club, marking another terrifying incident for the former president just months after an assassination attempt. One suspected gunman is in custody, but the motive remains undetermined.

In a statement issued about an hour after the incident, Trump reassured the public that he was 'safe and well' and urged against the spread of rumors. The armed suspect was stationed outside the club near the 5th and 6th hole, which is considered a 'vulnerable' area of the course, according to a source familiar with the incident.
