Charles Guidotti, age 87, of Haddon Heights Retired Camden City Police Officer

On September 13, 2024, Chuck passed away peacefully at Riverview Estates in Riverton, NJ at the age of 87. Born and raised in Camden City as one of eight children to Giuseppe and Sophia 1a3e3852-c382-432d-9201-6b1b9bb1a3d4Guidotti (nee Balducci), Chuck was a longtime resident of Haddon Heights until his wife's passing in 2022. Chuck served the City of Camden as a police officer for 27 years until his retirement.
 
A devout Catholic, Chuck was a longtime parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Haddon Heights where he served as head usher for many years. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council No. 1443 in Haddon Township and a 4th degree member of Bishop Eustace General Assembly. Chuck was a very talented woodworker and an all-around Mr. Fix-It, tackling projects big and small for family, friends and church.
 
He also became known as the "Sandman" when he would create beautiful sand masterpieces on his yearly vacations to Ocean City, NJ. Adding to his resume of hobbies, he was an avid collector of military planes, tanks and Hess Trucks, a love that he passed on to his two grandsons. He was also an author of a book of stories called Sliced from Life and had a comic book collection that rivaled even the most hard-core collector.

Chuck was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lynne Carol (nee Narducci) as well as his 4 brothers (Felix, James, Joseph, and William) and 3 sisters (Angeline, Pauline and Rose). He is lovingly survived by his devoted daughter, Jennifer (Bernard) Alvarado and his cherished grandchildren, Maryn (Jake) DeAngelis, Mason Alvarado and Madden Alvarado along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday evening, September 20th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Saturday morning, September 21st from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
