The Camden County Board of Commissioners' Addiction Awareness Task Force is hosting its 8^th annual Recovery Softball Tournament to raise awareness for those battling a substance use disorder. The tournament provides an opportunity to bring people to together to talk about treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. 

“The September 20  tournament always provides us with an opportunity to gather with our community to have some fun while raising awareness about substance use disorder and recovery,” Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “This event promotes a healthy lifestyle and serves as a reminder for us to focus on prevention and treatment to continue making progress with these issues."

Teams participating in the event will include those in recovery, local law enforcement, community leaders and the Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force. The Addiction Awareness Task Force hosts athletic events throughout the year to help make resources available to those struggling with substance use disorder. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the first pitch at 9:30 a.m. The game is being played at Valleybrook Fields, Golfview Drive and Little Gloucester Road, Gloucester Township, NJ 08012
