(TRENTON) — Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez (D-19) released the following statement regarding Governor Murphy’s conditional veto of A2294 concerning Hurricane Ida aide. “Three years after Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc on our State, we still have families who have been overlooked, are still recovering, and in desperate need of assistance. I am disappointed in the Murphy Administration’s conditional veto language that will only serve to diminish the population of eligible recipients and add layers of bureaucracy to the assistance process. Philadelphia Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Accident; A 54-Year-Old Man Stabbed Seven Times

PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 13, 2024)--The following information is preliminary and subject to change; updates will be provided as they become available. At 7:46 PM, a fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Howland Street on the highway. A motorcycle traveling westbound on Adams Avenue collided with a silver Ford Crown Victoria, which was turning northbound onto Howland Street from the eastbound lane of Adams Avenue. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Wilmington, Del., seized two separate shipments of counterfeit Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bags recently that arrived from China and were destined to an address in Wilmington. The two shipments were valued at about $13,000 combined had they been authentic. The international trade in counterfeit consumer goods steals revenues from trademark holders, steals tax revenues from the government, funds transnational criminal organizations, and the unregulated products potentially threaten the health and safety of American consumers. Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Navy Confiscate Over $44M Worth of Drugs

U.S. Coast Guard District 11 SAN DIEGO (September 12, 2024)— The Coast Guard and the Royal Canadian Navy offloaded $44.2 million worth of cocaine in San Diego, Thursday morning.
