August 14, 2024 SHOOTING

In the 16th District, there was a shooting at 7XX N Dekalb Street inside a building at approximately 5:50 AM. The victim, a 44-year-old male, was shot multiple times throughout his body. He was transported by police to Penn- Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The scene is currently secured, and no weapons have been recovered, nor have there been any apprehensions at this time.

AUGUST 13, 2024 SHOOTING

A Shooting incident on N 2nd Street & Westmoreland Street occurred at 6:20 AM. A 17-year-old male was shot once in the left hip and once in the right femur. He was transported to Temple Hospital by Medic 8 and is currently listed in stable condition. No scene was held, and no weapons or suspects are in custody at this time.

BARRICADED SITUATION

A barricaded situation has been declared by the 35th District inside a private residence at 69xx Old York Road. U.S. Marshals received information that a 64-year-old Black male, wanted for homicide, was inside the home and allegedly pointing a firearm toward the highway. The barricade was declared at 9:50 AM, The staging area is located at 1200 69th Avenue. Updates will be provided as they become available.
