Pedestrian 67-year-old Joseph Logrande of Tampa, Florida Struck by Vehicle, Dies in Hospital

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ (August 14, 2024)--On Monday August 12th at approximately 12:05am, The Harrison Township Police Department was dispatched to area of Mullica Hill Road and the Route 55 overpass in reference to a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

 

An investigation by police revealed the following: A 2011 International 4000 box truck, operated by a 20-year-old male resident of Dover, Delaware, was traveling westbound on Mullica Hill Road when it struck a pedestrian who was walking along the westbound shoulder of the roadway.

 

The pedestrian was identified as 67-year-old Joseph Logrande of Tampa, Florida. Logrande was transported to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries. Sergeant Kurt Pflugfelder is conducting the investigation, and he was assisted on-scene by Sergeant Matthew Neely, Corporal Patrick Morris, and Patrolman Gregory Germscheid.

 

Other assisting agencies included the New Jersey State Police, Gloucester County EMS, Harrison Township Fire District, and the Mantua and Woolwich Township Police Departments.
