GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (AUGUST 27, 2024)Following the serious crash with injuries involving a driver unlawfully and recklessly operated the ATV/ All Terrain Vehicle on the Black Horse Pike on August 16, 2024: https://gtpolice.com/news/article/1624, Gloucester Township Police reminds our residents that ATVs are designed for off-road use and are NOT street-legal. New Jersey law prohibits ATVs from being used on public roads, including parks and wildlife management areas.

Operating an ATV on public roadways is illegal and highly dangerous. Careless operation of these vehicles can lead to severe crashes and injuries. We urge all ATV riders to adhere to the law and operate their vehicles responsibly.

REMINDER: Most wooded areas in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, are PRIVATE PROPERTY and illegal to ride off-road vehicles. GTPD enforces the use of off road vehicles in Gloucester Township, you will be ticketed, and your vehicle can be towed and impounded.
