Daniel E. Monk Jr., of Gloucester City; Navy Veteran, GHS Class of 1989 Alum

Surrounded by his loving family, Daniel passed peacefully on August 25, 2024, at the age of 53. Lifelong resident of Gloucester City. Loving father of Daniel E. Monk, III; his mother, Dana Beltz and her daughter, Aalyah. Beloved son of Daniel E. Monk, Sr. (Fran) and the late Joanne Boyer (late Dave). Loving brother of Tim Monk (Eileen), Denise Rusk, Jimmy Monk, David Monk (Christie), Jason Monk (Tammy), Paula Abate and Mike Nelson (Cynthia). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved animals, Fifi, Lola and Mr. Handsome. 

Danny was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1989. He went on to proudly our country in the U.S. Navy. Danny was a longtime member of the Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620 and the American Legion Post #135 in Gloucester City. He was proud to always lend a hand and help those in need, especially the food drive with Epiphany Church of Gloucester City during the pandemic. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday morning, August 30th from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Funeral service 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
