PHILADELPHIA (July 26, 2024)(CNBNews)– The Philadelphia Police Department announced today the arrest of three individuals in connection with a string of retail thefts and robberies that began in April of 2024. The suspects targeted a number of stores, including Dollar Generals, Family Dollars, and Rite Aids. In total, the group is believed to be responsible for 25 retail thefts and two retail robberies. The stolen merchandise, including diapers, batteries, candy, and other goods, is estimated to be worth over $14,000.
Arrested on Sunday, July 14, 2024, were Byron Jordan-Prince, Lytrell Scott, and Daquan Johnson. All three have been charged with multiple counts of retail theft and related offenses.
A fourth suspect is expected to turn himself in on Monday.
Police are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of this crime spree to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
