 AT GREATER PHILADELPHIA EXPO CENTER, OAKS PA

OAKS, PA – The Kennel Club of Philadelphia, presenter of dog shows since 1879, has set Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17 for the 2024 National Dog Show weekend at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center located at 100 Station Avenue in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

One of the region’s most prominent family attractions, the National Dog Show features some 2,000 canines representing almost 200 different breeds in an American Kennel Club(AKC)-recognized competition for Best in Show. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia is a nonprofit with the mission of educating the public about responsible pet parenting and the wonderfulness of dogs, which includes maintaining affordable price points for attendees.

Admission is $20 for adults, and $10 for kids 4-11 years old with children three-and-under admitted free. Parking at the Expo Center is also free. Visit www.nds.nationaldogshow.com for information and to purchase tickets.

Doors open at 8:00 a.m. on both days with multiple ring competitions. On Saturday,official ceremonies in the stadium show ring begin shortly after noon, followed by thejudging for breed-winning dogs in seven groups at 1:00 p.m. Sunday activities include breed, group and Best in Show judging, which will take place in the morning, afternoon and late afternoon, respectively. The Saturday show is taped by NBC for broadcast nationally on Thanksgiving Day from noon – 2:00 p.m. to an estimated 20 million viewers.
