Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Donated school supplies will be delivered to the Molina Elementary Charter School in Camden.

The club’s signature project is the Little Timber Creek Nature Trail at Devon Avenue field in Haddon Heights.  Trail maintenance projects are scheduled several times a year.

Little Free Libraries are sponsored by the club in Haddonfield, Barrington and Bellmawr.  A new push to include bookmarks and stuffed animals in under way.

Every spring, competitive scholarships are awarded to area high school seniors.  This year, $4,000 was awarded to students from Haddon Township High School, Audubon High School and Winslow Township High School.

The annual service program varies each year based on analysis of local needs and the interests of the club members.  Projects emphasizing literacy, food insecurity, education and personal needs are always on the forefront.

Annual fundraising events include the annual golf outing scheduled for September 23 at Valleybrook Country Club, Florida citrus fruit sale, and periodic yard sales.

Remember that every day is a new opportunity to provide an act of kindness to another person.  The club meets every Friday in person at Mulligan’s Bar and Grill, 1208 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn, or virtually, to plan and carry out service projects, from 12:15PM until 1:30PM, and invites all area adults to join.  For service project and club information please contact club secretary Milton Smith, 856-559-2009, or www.Facebook.com/HaddonsKiwanis.
