On July 11, 2024, at the age of 84, Anna passed peacefully at Riverfront Rehab in Pennsauken, NJ. (nee Licata) Born in Camden, NJ on April 29, 1940, Anna spent her early years in Camden with her family and attended Sacred Heart Church and was a graduate of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School. After school, Aunt Anna lived her life to the fullest like the free bird she was. She explored New York and Florida and worked many years the Playboy Club as well as the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill. She returned to NJ in the 1980s, settling in Mt. Ephraim. By 1990, Anna owned and operated the family restaurant, Lucia’s Restaurant, in Haddonfield, NJ, named after grandmom, as well as a consignment shop. Life with Aunt Anna was never boring. She absolutely loved taking care of her “children” Aldo, Melissa and Nicholas and helped care for and raise them. Melissa and Nicholas Salamone were adored by Aunt Anna as if they were her own grandchildren.
Some say that Gina Marie reminds them of Aunt Anna as they are both rebellious and very outspoken and always the life of the party! Anna will be remembered for her delicious cooking, love for animals and being a loving, nurturing care giver to many.
Anna was predeceased by her parents, Lucille DiCarlantonio DiCampli and Albert DiCampli, Sr.; brothers, Gaetano Martin Licata and Albert DiCampli, Jr. She is survived by her niece, Gina Marie Licata and nephews, Gaetano Michael Licata, Jr., Albert Baldino and Josh Baldino; great niece, Victoria Licata and great-nephew, Gabriel Licata Stauss and her great-great niece, Peyton Ashley Licata Huth, as well as Melissa and Nicolas Salamone and Aldo Rossi, whom she loved and treated like family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday morning, July 18th from 10 to 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 300 E. Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
