Philadelphia Police Blotter: Homicide, Stabbings, Shooting, Officer Attacked

The incidents happened between Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10.  The information is preliminary and subject to change. Updates will be provided as they become available. Current, incidents will be reported as they are received.

Stabbing in the 16th District: 
At 5:10 AM on 43XX Wyalusing Avenue, a 27-year-old Black female was stabbed multiple times inside the second floor of a residence. She was transported to Penn-Presbyterian Medical by Medic 34 and is in critical condition. No arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The scene is being held. The investigation is ongoing with Southwest Detectives. 
Assault on Police via Vehicle in the 15th District: 
At 3:23 AM on 32XX Friendship Street, a marked police car operated by a 15th District officer was intentionally struck by a white Chevy Camaro in an alleyway. The police vehicle sustained front-end damage and a broken front axle. The officer was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by responding officers and is expected to be treated and released. Both vehicles required towing, and an arrest was made. The scene is being held, and the investigation is ongoing with the Crash Investigation Division.
Stabbing in the 24th District: 
At 3:07 AM on 28XX North Front Street, a 49-year-old Hispanic male was stabbed once in the right hand and once in the right forearm. He walked into Episcopal Hospital and was then transported to Temple Hospital via private ambulance, where he is in stable condition. No scene has been located, and no arrests or weapons have been recovered. The investigation is ongoing with the East Detective Division.
Double Shooting in the 39th District:
 At 12:18 AM on Ridge and W Lehigh Avenues, a 19-year-old male was shot once in the neck and a 16-year-old Black male was shot once in the left thigh and left buttock. Both victims were transported to Temple University Hospital and are in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The investigation is ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.
Homicide in the 16th District: 
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 11:19 PM, officers responded to a call of a "person with a gun" at 51xx Market Street. Upon arrival, they found a 23-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
