Multiple Alarm Fire 700-Unit Block of Division Street, Gloucester City

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (June 20, 2024)— A fire broke out Wednesday evening, around 7 PM, at a residence in the 700-unit block of Division Street. The fire was confined to the third floor. According to The Patch, residents of that dwelling were displaced.

A fire department spokesman said, firefighters confined the blaze to that floor and brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries.

Investigators from the Gloucester City Fire Department (GCFD)  determined that the fire was accidental.

Red Cross personnel assisted displaced residents at the scene. During the incident, the GCFD received assistance from the Westville, Camden City, Collingswood and Bellmawr fire departments; Gloucester City police and housing personnel; and Mount Ephraim EMS.
