Deadly MV Accident in Pennsauken Results in Passenger Being Killed; Driver Arrested

Pennsauken, N.J.- A Pennsauken man has been charged in connection to a fatal motor vehicle crash in Pennsauken last month, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Phil Olivo.
On April 16, 2024, at approximately 3:22 p.m., the Pennsauken Police Department was dispatched to the area of the 9000 block of Crescent Boulevard southbound for a crash involving two motor vehicles. Upon arrival, Pennsauken Police officers located a Chrysler motor vehicle that crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. A passenger, identified as a Sean Hill, 20, of Pennsauken, was entrapped in the Chrysler and later pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Chrysler, identified as 20-year-old Gage Patton of Pennsauken, was transported to Cooper University Hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that Patton was operating the vehicle at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer. Patton was charged with one count of second-degree Death by Auto and issued multiple motor vehicle summonses. He was arrested at the Pennsauken Police Department on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
