PHILADELPHIA, PA (MAY 14, 2024)--The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the female depicted in the attached photos. She is wanted for Screenshot 2024-05-14 at 23.02.27 questioning in regards to the aggravated assault and robbery of an off-duty Philadelphia Police Officer that occurred on Sunday, 05/12/24 at approximately 7:12 am at 2100 West Oxford Street. During the assault, the officer was able to disarm his attacker and discharge the offender's firearm.

MAY 9, 2024

PHILADELPHIA – On Thursday, May 9, 2024, at approximately 5:06 pm, a 9th District Officer responded to a report of retail theft at the Lululemon store at 1720 Walnut Street. The incident was reported by a passerby. The officer witnessed an individual, later identified as 28-year-old Alexis Salmon, transfer clothing (not contained in a shopping bag) to the trunk of a white Chevy Malibu before entering the vehicle's passenger side. Upon the officer’s intervention, Salmon fled on foot but was apprehended following a brief chase. The vehicle driver, 29-year-old Marquise Baker from 21XX East Stella Street, was also arrested at the scene. Both individuals are now facing charges of Retail Theft and Criminal Conspiracy. 



SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2024


An officer was injured in an accident at 100 W. Lehigh Ave in the 26th District. While pulling out of the gas station, the Officer was struck from behind by a civilian vehicle. Medic 13 responded for the civilian, who did not require service at this time. The officer will be transported to Temple University Hospital shortly and is expected to be treated and released. The scene is being held for CID.


FEMALE MURDERED--On the highway at 48xx N. Broad Street, a 32-year-old Black female was shot once in the back around 4:45 PM. She was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by Medic 15, where she was pronounced dead at 5:17 PM. The crime scene, inside a Deli, has been secured for investigation. Currently, no arrests have been made, and no weapons related to this incident have been recovered. The motive is unknown at this time.


Shooting at 2500 Lloyd Street-- At 7:53 am, a 30-year-old male was shot once in the back right shoulder. He was transported by police to Presbyterian Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The scene was secured, and one firearm was recovered from the victim. Currently, the male is being held as a prisoner at the hospital.


Stabbing at 2800 North 5th Street--At 4:55  a,  a 67-year-old male was stabbed once in the left shoulder and once in the right thigh. He was transported by Medic 31 to Temple University Hospital and placed in stable condition. No scene was located, no arrest was made, and no weapons were recovered.


SUNDAY, MAY 12, 2024


Here's an update on the incident that occurred at 2100 Oxford Street: This afternoon, 25th District officers arrested the male suspect at G and Hilton Streets. The investigation is still active as we seek to apprehend female co-defendants and recover the officer's personal weapon.

Additionally, the public’s assistance is needed to identify several females captured in photographs related to this case. These individuals are suspected of interfering with the officer as he attempted to detain the male suspect, who subsequently was able to enter the driver's seat of a BMW and struck the officer as he fled the scene. Anyone with information on the identity of these females is asked to contact the Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation Unit at 215-683-1866.


At approximately 4:08 PM in the 25th District, at the intersection of 7th and Allegheny Avenue, a 42-year-old Hispanic male was critically injured in a shooting incident. The victim sustained gunshot wounds once in the buttocks and once in the left thigh. He was transported to Temple Hospital by Medic 22, where he was listed in critical condition. At the scene, a weapon was recovered from the victim. Currently, there is no motive, no arrests have been made, and the scene is being held for further investigation. 



In a self-inflicted shooting incident early this morning around 12:56 am, officers from the 22nd District were dispatched to 19xx N. Croskey Street following a report of a 40-year-old female with gunshot wounds to the chest, who had been privately transported to Temple University Hospital. At the scene, officers located a firearm on the 2nd floor, which had no magazine and was found near blood evidence. The complainant was stable according to hospital staff and claimed the injuries were self-inflicted. However, due to the suspicious nature of the wounds and the fact that the vehicle that transported her did not stay at the hospital, the Shooting Investigation Group took over the investigation. The complainant informed detectives that the gun discharged accidentally as she was trying to reinsert the fallen magazine while removing the gun from her waist. The investigation confirmed the self-inflicted nature of the wounds, supported by the complainant's statement and the evidence at the scene.


Additionally, a shooting occurred at Pulaski Ave & Erie Ave in the 39th District at 10:08 pm. A 24-year-old male was shot three times and transported by police to Temple Hospital in stable condition. The scene was held with no arrests made and no weapon recovered.


A critical injury crash involving two autos occurred on the 200 block of Hunting Park Avenue at about 9:44 pm in the 25th district. Preliminary investigations showed that a 2010 Nissan Rogue traveling eastbound crossed the double yellow line and collided with a 2002 Toyota Corolla heading westbound. PFD Medic 24 transported the critically injured occupants of the Toyota to Temple Hospital, while PFD Medic 39 took the Nissan's occupants to Albert Einstein Hospital, where the driver underwent surgery for critical injuries and the passenger was treated for a broken arm. The ongoing investigation is handled by the Crash Investigation Division.


Lastly, a critical hit-and-run involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at 5300 Tabor Road/Adams Ave in the 2nd District around 8:42 pm. A 32-year-old pedestrian was struck by a black sedan whose driver initially stopped but then fled the scene. The critically injured pedestrian was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by PFD Medic 29. This case is also under ongoing investigation by the Crash Investigation Division.


MONDAY, MAY 13, 2024


A 35-year-old man was shot multiple times on the highway at 20th & Federal Streets in the 17th District at around 6:40 PM. Police transported the victim to Jefferson Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. The scene is being held, and the investigation is ongoing with SIG.



BARRICADED SITUATION--In the 25th District, a situation involving a barricaded person occurred at 700 E Cornwall St around 8:12 PM. Officers were dispatched following reports of a white male, believed to be under the influence of narcotics, standing on the steeple of a church. Upon arrival, the individual pointed a long gun at the officers, leading to the declaration of a barricade situation at 8:41 PM. The staging area is at G & Westmoreland, with SWAT and Tactical Air units on location.
