GTPD Continues to Investigate March Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Crash

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (May 8, 2024)(CNBNews)--On Monday, March 11, 2024 at approximately 11:00 PM officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Blackwood Clementon Road and Kelly Drivers Lane for a reported pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
Upon officers arrival, the pedestrian was located in the roadway unconscious and suffering from serious bodily injuries. The striking vehicle and driver remained on location. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The pedestrian was evaluated and transported to Cooper Hospital, Trauma Unit, in Camden by Inspira ambulance.
Blackwood Clementon Road was closed for several hours during the initial stages of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT). The Gloucester Township Fire Department, as well as Inspira medical services, assisted at the crash scene.
The victim, at the time of this news release, is in critical but stable condition with a possible brain injury.
At this time the name of the victim is being withheld pending notifications and further investigation.
