GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (May 14, 2024)--Earlier today, the Gloucester City Police posted an alert on their social media page about individuals trying to gain entry into a home in Gloucester City posing as employees of the Camden County Clerk Office. Exactly where in the city this occurred and when it occurred was not released. We contacted Lt. Flood, the department spokesman, for that information. As of the publication of this article, we haven't received a response.
The police said that the two males, one white and the other Hispanic, stated they were from the Camden County Clerk's Office. They knocked on people's doors, stating they were in the neighborhood to inspect the damage. The police did not release the kind of damage. When the males were questioned, they left the area in a Ford F150 marked Green Leaf Landscaping vehicle with a PA registration.
The police instructed residents to ask anyone looking to enter their homes for identification. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the police at 856-456-0900.
