Friday, April 19, 2024
Closures necessary to demolish concrete median
(Trenton) – The Route 47 Bridge over Big Timber Creek is scheduled to have single lane closures in both directions Monday as the bridge replacement project begins in Camden and Gloucester counties.
From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, April 22, the left lanes on Route 47 northbound and southbound will be closed between River Drive in Westville, Gloucester County and the Brooklawn Circle in Brooklawn, Camden County. The closure is necessary to remove the concrete median on the Route 47 Bridge over Big Timber Creek.
The $47.8 million federally funded project will replace the superstructure of the Route 47 Bridge over Big Timber Creek in Brooklawn, Camden County and Westville, Gloucester County, as well as raise the profile of the Bridge by seven feet. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2027.
