Dively graduated from Sandlewood High School in 2007.
The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Harrisburg.
“Growing up, I learned how to be adaptable,” said Dively. “I had about 14 different jobs before I joined the military, which helped me to adapt to serving in the Navy.”
Dively joined the Navy 10 years ago. Today, Dively serves as an electronic technician.
“I joined the Navy for financial stability and career opportunities,” said Dively.
CTF 75 executes command and control of assigned Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces in the 7th Fleet area of operations. They plan and execute naval construction, expeditionary logistics, explosive ordnance disposal and maritime expeditionary security for crisis response, humanitarian assistance, and major combat operations.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
Dively serves a Navy that operates far forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation’s prosperity and security.
“We will earn and reinforce the trust and confidence of the American people every day,” said Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations. “Together we will deliver the Navy the nation needs.”
Dively has many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during military service.
“I am most proud of when my favorite commanding officer awarded me a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal,” said Dively. “I was honored by the recognition for my hard work.”
Dively can take pride in serving America through military service.
“Serving in the Navy means securing my future for my family and for whatever aspirations I have for my future,” said Dively.
Dively is grateful to others for helping make a Navy career possible.
“I would like to thank my father,” added Dively. “He was in the military and inspired me to join as well.”
