LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Today We Observe Worker's Memorial Day

Dolores F. Phillips “Dee” of Audubon

Dolores F. Phillips "Dee" (nee Slimm) passed away on April 26, 2024.  A longtime resident of Audubon, NJ, Dee was 85 years old.

Beloved wife of 66 years to the late Robert E. Phillips, Sr.  Dear mother of Robert (Carolyn) Phillips, Jr., Raymond (Judith) Phillips, Steven Phillips and William (Bethanne) Phillips.  Loving grandmother of Rebecca, Eric, Kelly, Kimberly, Laura, James, Samantha and Alexandra and great grandmother to Eric Jr., Aubrey, Ava, Faith, Cadence, Revelry, Gunner, J.T., Claire, Raymond, Nathan, Nora and Cassandra.  Sister of the late Anna, the late Jack (the late Betty), the late George (the late Barbara), the late Louis and the late Lorraine (the late Ed).  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family was most important to Dee--she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension in Gloucester City where she was an active member of the church choir.  Dee was also a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Murray-Trout Post #262, American Legion, Audubon, NJ.  She loved being a part of the "Haviland Avenue Gang" in Audubon and enjoyed dancing -- especially country line dancing.  Dee was also an avid card player and Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday evening 6 to 8 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Funeral service will be held on Friday 10 AM at the Church of the Ascension, 110 Sussex St., Gloucester City, NJ.  Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
