Camden City Detectives Investigating Murder

Camden City, N.J.- Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on Saturday in Camden City, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On April 13, 2024, at 10:19 p.m., the Camden County Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation for gunfire in the area of the 1600 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden City. Upon arrival at the scene, Camden County Police Officers located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Cooper University Hospital by a Camden County Police patrol vehicle.

Algie Harmon, 32, of Camden City, was pronounced deceased at 10:43 p.m. The second gunshot victim, a 43 year-old male from Camden City, is currently in stable condition.

This investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
