RUNNEMEDE, NJ (MARCH 10, 2024)(CNBNEWS)--Tracy Carluccio, Deputy Director of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network (DRN), is set to host the second installment of a four-part environmental seminar series, highlighting critical issues surrounding the protection of the Delaware River Watershed. The seminar, titled "Defending the Delaware River Watershed," will take place on March 19, 2024, beginning at 6:30 pm at St. Maria Goretti Hall, located at 321 Orchard Ave, Runnemede, NJ 08078.

With a profound commitment to environmental advocacy since 1989, Tracy Carluccio has been instrumental in safeguarding the Delaware River Watershed across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware. Her focus includes opposition to fracking, oil and gas development, such as Liquefied Natural Gas exports, and advocating for clean and renewable energy solutions to address the climate crisis. Additionally, Carluccio works tirelessly to combat PFAS and other toxic contamination, ensuring the protection of water quality, healthy habitats, streams, and communities within the Watershed.

The seminar series, organized by the GFWC Woman's Club of Runnemede, in collaboration with the Runnemede, Somerdale, and Barrington Green Teams, aims to educate and inspire action towards environmental conservation. The upcoming seminars are scheduled for April 10, 2024, and May 1, 2024, both at St. Maria Goretti Hall.

Notably, 7th-grade students from area schools are invited to attend the lectures and may receive extra credit for their participation. This initiative reflects the organizers' commitment to fostering environmental awareness and education among the youth.

If you are interested in joining the GFWC Woman’s Club of Runnemede, we invite you to attend one of our meetings. We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:30-9:00 PM at the Runnemede Senior Citizens Center at 2 Broadway, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
