Spring Opening Events for Sipping Season at New Jersey Wineries and Vineyards


Haddonfield, NJ - With Spring weather opening everything outdoors, there’s a Season Opening Event near you with the Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA) ready to share the details.


From just outside Philadelphia to minutes from New York City to the Jersey Shore, you don’t need to travel far for award-winning wine destinations and scenic vineyards that will remind you why New Jersey is the Garden State.

OLD YORK CELLARS 2024 SPRING PREVIEW

Join OLD YORK CELLARS for a Sneak Preview of all of the changes happening for 2024. Enjoy live music under the new Vineyard Hospitality Tent, taste their recent Wine Releases, sample their new Wine Cocktail and Mocktail Menu, and savor Tapas prepared by chef José Diaz.

SADDLEHILL CELLARS GRAND OPENING
Wednesday, April 10

Join SADDLEHILL CELLARS, a brand-new South Jersey oasis spanning over 70 acres of enchanting vineyards and meticulously preserved farmland, for their Grand Opening, Wednesday, April 10. Saddlehill includes the Farmhouse Kitchen, a unique farm-to-table experience led by culinary maestro Daniel Stern and housed in a beautiful 7000 sq. ft. tasting room. The kitchen will showcase the bounty of the land with wine pairing menus crafted around seasonal ingredients harvested on-site. Media (only) are invited to a private ribbon-cutting with elected officials - Please confirm interest for details.

AUBURN ROAD VINEYARDS WINE TASTING TOUR

Friday, April 12 and Sunday, April 14

 

Join owners Scott and Jules as they lead you on an intimate one-hour wine-tasting tour of their Enoteca, vineyard, production facility, and barrel room. This small group tour also includes a souvenir wine glass, tasting of four wines, special discounts on wine to take home with you, and a free souvenir wine bag! With more than 60 wineries and vineyards in four distinct American Viticultural Areas, there’s a New Jersey winery within less than an hour’s drive! 


Download your Passport to Wine Country to explore the wonderful Wineries of New Jersey and complete trails to earn incentives and enter contests. Special events are happening daily at wineries across the state including live music, wine discussions, barefoot grape stomping, wine down yoga, tasting and pairing events, and more.


New Jersey’s vineyards are the perfect venue for weddings, showers, special occasions, or just an easy escape any night of the week. Upcoming special events include the 2nd annual Women in Wine Meet and Greet Event with Career Panel, The Mother’s Day Wine Trail Weekend, and dozens of events at Garden State wineries and vineyards across the state.


The four American Viticultural Areas (AVA) of New Jersey are the Warren Hills AVA, the Cape May Peninsula AVA, the Central Delaware Valley AVA and the Outer Coastal Plain AVA. Vineyards across New Jersey grow more than 80 grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sangiovese, Albarino and Chardonnay. New Jersey’s wineries also produce a wide array of fruit wines, and New Jersey is one of the top producers of wine in the country.
