Philip H. Mund Jr., Longtime Jeweler, Enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Cooking, Clearview HS Alum

On March 15, 2024 at age 66, Phil passed peacefully in his sleep. Of Brooklawn. He was a loving and devoted husband of 44 years to Margaret “Peg” Mund (nee Sayers). Loving father of Jodie Boos (Wayne Meyer), Renee Mund-Kotter (Allan) and the late Steven Philip Mund. Cherished grandfather “PopPop” to Alexander Philip Kotter. Beloved brother of Patricia MacKannon (Jack), Robert Mund (Cathy) and Nancy Curll (late Robert, Jr). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Phil was a graduate of Clearview High School class of 1975. From the age of 15, he worked alongside his father at Phil Mund Jewelers in the Brooklawn Shopping Center before moving the business to Bellmawr in 1980. Phil was a master watchmaker and skilled jeweler who could custom design anything. In 2013 he partnered with and trained his son-in-law, Allan, who continues his legacy. He loved being in the mountains, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He will be missed by his lifelong buddies at Club Night, which he looked forward to cooking at every week. He’ll be forever known for his long hot peppers and Sunday waffles. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on MUND-day, March 25th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Celebration of Life service will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home. Interment private.
