Jefferson Health's 2024 New Jersey Gala: Elevating Healthcare and Celebrating Excellence

Jefferson Health in New Jersey held its major fundraiser of the year at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City in late February. Some 400 guests attended the event, which raised nearly $400,000 to support Jefferson's programs and services.

A highlight of the evening was the announced winners of the 2024 Giving Tank, an initiative inspired by the popular "Shark Tank" television show. Through generous donations, the Jefferson Health Foundation - New Jersey awarded $225,000 in grants to employees’ best ideas for elevating patient care or employee well-being. The top $100,000 grant was given for anoscopy equipment and training, providing high-risk patients with more options for lifesaving cancer screenings. Four additional grants awarded ranged from $25,000 to $50,000.

The Gala further honored some of Jefferson's exceptional clinicians. The titles of "Healthcare Heroes" were bestowed upon Primary Care physicians Matthew Gettings, DO, and Eric Kaminetsky, DO, for their exemplary leadership, dedication, and compassionate care. Both are Senior Medical Directors of Clinical Operations at Jefferson Medical Group in New Jersey.
