EXCITING CHANGES AT TWENTY ONE PIPS BOARD GAME RESTAURANT IN ARDMORE

Ardmore, PA - Twenty One Pips is rolling the dice and raising the stakes for the Main Line's premiere board game restaurant and cafe in Ardmore. Owner Matt Hendricks is thrilled to announce exciting changes to elevate the space, food and drinks in time for the coming National Board Game Day and a busy spring season ahead. With help of Chef John Taus (Jet Hospitality), Twenty One Pips introduces a brand new dinner menu featuring globally inspired, snack-able comfort foods. Mushroom “calamari”, crab and chili flatbread, crab cake and Korean fried chicken sliders, raclette grilled cheese, fried cauliflower, and blistered shishito’s are just a few of the new items for guests to savor. At the bar, guests will find a brand new drink menu featuring drinks pleasing to both the eye and their palette, including a new Hibiscus Margarita, Bananas Foster Old Fashioned, Sake Spritz, Coffee Negroni and several other new additions. Spirit Free mocktails, such as the Lavender Pop, the Hidden Gem, and The Machete (made with Danny Trejo’s zero proof tequila alternative) are also available. In addition to the menu changes, the bar at Twenty One Pips has received a fresh facelift to create a more inviting atmosphere for guests. Upon entering Twenty One Pips, guests will find a brand new gaming lounge" with posh and colorful eclectic sofas and loungers, giving guests even more space to play their favorite board games while sipping the night away with their favorite beverages from the bar. Twenty One Pips has also expanded the game count to include over 400 new games, including four new heirloom crokinole boards in the lounge. Twenty One Pips has also added a lead gametender who is the game whisperer available to serve as the personal concierge to all visiting game enthusiasts, and topped it off with some of the venue’s favorite games available at retail. Hendricks added, "For board game fans, we are raising the bar of the entire experience with a new posh game lounge, upgrades to the space, hundreds of new games and our gametenders to help customers pick out games, learn the rules and even discuss game strategy. I like to think of the gametender as the Main Line's only concierge for gamers. Their focus is on ensuring guests don’t have to navigate confusing rules so everyone can get straight to having a great time."
Twenty One Pips opened in Downtown Ardmore in 2022 as the first restaurant and retail client in the new stunning One Ardmore Place. As the restaurant's second anniversary approaches, spring weather moves in, and National Board Game Day approaches, Hendricks and his long-time team thought it was the perfect time to focus their offerings. KITCHEN
Chef John E. Taus of JET Hospitality has been working with Hendricks and the Twenty One Pips team to create a brand new menu of globally-inspired, snack-able comfort food.
As a leader in the hospitality industry in Philadelphia, Taus saw an opportunity to have a more of an impact on the city's dining scene and decided to open JET Hospitality, a culinary focused restaurant consulting business. JET Hospitality stems from his success at some of the best restaurants in the country. Some Philadelphia restaurants include Starr Restaurant Organization, Zahav Restaurant by CookNSolo Inc, Chef De Cuisine during the opening of Wm. Mulherin & Son’s voted 10 best new restaurants Bon Appetit, and Culinary Director for The Schulson Collective. Willingness to travel and aptitude for new experiences led Taus into domestic kitchens in NYC, Chicago. San Francisco and New Orleans. Consulting opportunities have led him to international work at The Fairmont Mayakoba in Playa de Carmen, Mexico and at The Royal Pavilion in Barbados.

Twenty One Pips is known for its vast collection of board games, offering hundreds of options for guests to choose from. Twenty One Pips has just expanded their already huge game library to over 400 new games, and have four heirloom crokinole boards in their lounge area. The addition of a gametender who can explain the rules and strategies of each game has only enhanced the experience for customers. Our lead gametender and retail manager Sam is a long time alum of our other restaurant Thirsty Dice and is helping us bring even more unplugged fun to the Main Line. Sam is already off to a great start and will be adding in about 200 different products for sale so that our guests can bring the best of the best home with them.

Twenty One Pips hosts Quizzo weekly on Wednesdays and their professionally hosted D&D campaigns on Thursdays. Additionally, monthly events include MahJongg, Strat-o-Matic baseball other MeetUp drop-ins hosted by Ardmore library for gamers looking to connect with other gamers.
