Emily Cecelia Tobin, aged 42, passed away on March 16th, 2024.  Though the illness Emmie succumbed to was brief, her battle has been long.

The Emmie we knew was a beautiful, quick witted and so very funny. Emmie was so strong in so many ways, and at the same time so sensitive. She was someone who gave and forgave so easily.  When Emmie was a mom, she was the best. She loved her boys, and worked so hard. She always wanted nothing more than to be with all of them.

Life doesn’t always turn out the way we think or hope. It’s rarely that simple. But I know if Emmie’s life turned out the way she wanted, she would be at every game, cheering the loudest. She’d be throwing the best birthday parties and snowballs. She would be playing games and helping with homework. Emmie would always be with the people she loved, loving them and giving her beautiful smiles.

Losing Emmie is a loss to so many of us. We lost our daughter, mom, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend. We have loved her and missed her already, for so long.  But Emmie’s struggle is over now. Emmie had faith in Jesus and is in a far better place.  It is up to us to learn from Emmie. To love unconditionally and forgive like she did. Live a life full of family, friends and love, like Emmie so desperately wanted to live.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Emily’s graveside service on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2 pm at Cedar Grove Cemetery: 1150 Market Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
