Blackwood Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering his Mom

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (March 1, 2024)(CNBNews)--A Blackwood man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the death of his mother on March 2, 2024, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins.
On Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:21 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a deceased female located inside a residence on the 100 block Fairmount Avenue, Blackwood, New Jersey. Officers responded and located a female victim, suffering from blunt force head trauma. The victim was identified as Lillian Doran, 65, of Blackwood.
Following an investigation, James Doran, 30, of Blackwood was taken into custody by members of the Pennsylvania State Police in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Doran is charged with one count of first-degree Murder.
Doran will be lodged at the Bedford County Correctional Facility pending an extradition hearing.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
