PHILADELPHIA, PA (February 28, 2024)(CNBNews)--LISTED BELOW IS A summary of overnight incidents from Tuesday evening until now. Please note that this information is preliminary and subject to change. 1. Shooting - 19th and West York Street (22nd District)
- Location: N 19th St./W York St, on the highway
- Time: Approximately 3:24 AM
- Description: A male, approximately 20-30 years old ("John Doe"), was shot once in the chest and once in the left leg. He was transported by police to Temple Hospital and placed in critical condition. Scene held, no arrest made, and no weapons recovered.
2. Stabbing - 8xx East Allegheny Avenue (24th District)
- Location: 8xx E Allegheny Avenue, on the highway
- Time: 1:49 AM
- Description: A 40-year-old male was stabbed once in the left side of the back. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by police and placed in critical condition. Scene held, no weapons recovered, and no arrests made at this time.
3. Fatal Leaving the Scene Auto/Pedestrian Crash - 7900 Ogontz Avenue (14th District)
- Location: 7900 Ogontz Ave
- Time: 11:12 PM
- Description: A 46-year-old male was struck by a white sedan traveling northbound on Ogontz Ave. The male was pronounced on location at 11:18 PM by Medic 33. The white sedan fled on Cheltenham Ave in an unknown direction. The vehicle has front-end damage. Scene held, Crash Investigation Division is investigating. No arrest made.
